Dr. Doris Carver has been selected to receive the prestegious 2004 Richard E. Merwin Award for Distinguished Service with the following citation " For dedicated and sustained leadership to the computing profession and to the IEEE Computer Society".

Congratulations to Dr. Carver and this has brought a lot of visibility and recognition to LSU Computer Science Department and also to LSU in general.
