State University in the Computer Science Department, currently working as graduate
assistant in Center for Computation and Technology (CCT) and have been offered the
Huel Perkins Doctoral Fellowship.
Brief Description about the Fellowship:
Huel D. Perkins Doctoral Fellowship Program- These fellowships are
among the most prestigious awards offered by the (Louisiana State)
University and are available to qualified African-American doctoral
students. The Huel D. Perkins Doctoral Fellowships include a cash
stipend of $14,000 per year for three years. A fourth year of funding
will be provided if the Fellow passes the general examination and has
submitted an approved dissertation topic by the end of the third
year. Resident tuition and nonresident tuition (if applicable) is
waived. Applications require departmental nomination.
